Help!

The help we’ve gotten so far just getting this project launched is incredible, but we’re going to need a little more help this summer while we’re actually on the road. What we need help with is pretty simple, and doesn’t require any money: we’re looking for places to park, shower or do laundry. If you could help us with any one of those things, we’d be eternally grateful. If you think you can help us out with any of those things, or anything else, please let us know. Make sure you tell us who and where you are, and how to get in touch with you.

Thanks!

Eight-Ball Says…

I’m almost out of money, and almost entirely due to stupid spending habits. Really just one habit: spending. Over the past year, Mom gave me over $900, in addition to whatever I had and whatever I earned. She and Dad also supplied me with grocery money and gas money while in school, and continue to do so. And yet I have under $200.

If I want to go on this trip, I need to come by some money. A miracle would be nice. I suppose I could fit a part-time job into my schedule, though most of my free time is in the morning and I’m not very effective before 11 am. eBay has panned out poorly.

Outlook not good. My two most likely options at this time are not going, or making living out of a bus for a summer on a hundred dollars or less yet another of the feats of this journey.

Party Bus

Ok, I admit it, I’m jealous.
I did look into double decker buses, and they’re very very expensive stateside.

A Note on Copyright

This can all be found on the copyright page, which is linked in the footer of every page, but I wanted to elaborate on it a little bit. I’m trying to make this whole event as open as possible. If anyone would like to join us, we will do everything we can to support you (we don’t have any more room on the bus, but a caravan could work using the bus as a basecamp). If you can’t come, I want to put a lot of the experience online. And most of that media will be licensed under a fairly open license.

Most of the pictures in the flickr group are licensed under a Creative Commons license (check a photo’s page for specifics), and all of the textual content on this website is licensed under a CC Attribution License. In addition to that, I’m making all of the unedited video footage available online under a CC Attribution License as well (which can be found at juanwayraw.blip.tv). All future video (which will be of better quality) will also appear on that blip page. That means you can use any CC-BY content, in any way you see fit, for profit or not, as long as you attribute the source material to the Juan Way Tour, along with a link to this website.

I don’t know what projects could emerge from this, but I’m doing my best to encourage as many as possible. I sincerely hope you take advantage of this.
