Hey guys, I know we talked about some ‘required’ reading before the trip and I thought it would be helpful to collaborate a little beforehand (hence this post). All I’ve got is The Electric Kool-Aid Acid Test by Tom Wolfe, On The Road by Jack Kerouac, and Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas: A Savage Journey to the Heart of the American Dream by Hunter S. Thompson. I’ve done very little in terms of research and don’t really know where to start, but hopefully you do : )

Yeah, those all sound really good. I don’t know if there’s any we want to add. but if anyone’s interested, the rest of Kerouac’s Duloz series of books would probably be equally interesting/relevant. I have a copy of On the Road I can lend out if anyone is interested.
I’m not a big fan of on the road, but its probably more appropriate than not. I do mean to read those other two as well. I don’t have any book reading to offer, but I have a website Dan B turned me on to: flexyourrights.org.
